En Chine, le formidable emballement de l’économie se paie au prix fort sur le plan humain. Les manifestations des laissés-pour-compte du développement (paysans spoliés de leurs terres, citoyens expulsés de leur maison...) sont sévèrement réprimées et les peines de prison pour «troubles à l’ordre public» se multiplient. A chaque fois, le gouvernement central étouffe les manifestations et organise la répression. Les trois affaires présentées dans ce reportage illustrent la violence sociale qui règne en Chine.

 

In China, as in some other countries, the tremendous and frantic economical development leads to many human crises. Demonstrations by the people left on the scrap heap (farmers despoiled of their land, citizens expelled from their homes) are severely quelled, and jail sentences for “breach of the peace” get more numerous each day. Every time, the central government muzzles demonstrations and hides repression. The three stories featured in this program show the social violence that Chinese people have to face.
