Selon la terminologie médicale, Jimmy est un PVHIV, c’est-à-dire une personne vivant avec le virus du VIH Sida. Mais il est d’abord un homme qui, chaque jour, se bat contre la discrimination et la stigmatisation des malades. Il sensibilise les gens de son quartier, les incite à être davantage présents aux côtés des personnes atteintes. A travers le portrait de Jimmy, ce documentaire livre une radioscopie de la société tunisienne, de sa perception et de sa compréhension de la maladie, des mœurs sociales et invite à dépasser certaines peurs, à commencer par celle de parler.

 

Jimmy remembers about his French teacher talking about Paris at school. He succeeded to go there after facing many difficulties. There, he found love and after, a split. Then, he will give hiself over to drug, split. Then, he will give hiself over to drug… with AIDS on his way.
According to medical terminology, Jimmy is a "PLWAIDS", a person living with the AIDS virus. But he is first a man who, every day, fights against discrimination and the stigma of being ill. He educates the people in his neighborhood, and urges them to spend more time with those who are sick. Through this portrait of Jimy, this documentary gives us a close look at Tunisian society, its perception and understanding of this disease and social standards, and invites us to break certain taboos - to begin with the one of talking openly about it.

 "جيمي" حامل لفيروس الايدز، لكنه رجل يكافح يوميا ضدّ التمييز، وضدّ تنميط الناس حسب الأمراض، وهو يقوم بتحسيس الناس في حيّه، ويحثّهم على أن يساندوا الأشخاص المصابين بهذا المرض. وعبر شخصية "جيمي" يحاول هذا الشريط أن يرصد نظرة المجتمع التونسي ومدى تفهمه لهذا المرض، ويدعو إلى تجاوز بعض المخاوف وأوّلها الخوف من الكلام.
